Bringing Everyone Into the Circle of Laughter

Inclusive comedy experiences designed for people of all abilities — because everyone deserves to laugh, connect, and belong.

About us

LaughAbility is a nonprofit organization built on the belief that storytelling, laughter, and human connection are essential to the human experience. We exist to ensure that everyone — regardless of ability, background, or circumstance — has access to joy.

Our Mission

Humor is a universal language. Sharing laughter over a common joke with a friend is what forges unique, human bonds between all people. For centuries, a common saying has passed around, stating that “laughter is the best medicine.” The expression is meant to convey that laughter can alleviate even the worst of circumstances, but recent scientific discoveries have provided evidence to back this claim up.

LaughAbility, a non-profit organization built on the belief that storytelling, laughter, and human connection are essential — and that everyone deserves access to joy, regardless of ability, background, or circumstance. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to bring everyone into the circle of laughter.

Why We Do This

Laughter is more than a reaction — it is a powerful force for well-being and connection. Scientific research shows that laughter reduces stress, improves mental and physical health, and strengthens social bonds.

What makes laughter especially meaningful is its ability to create shared experiences. When people laugh together, they connect — instinctively and deeply. At LaughAbility, we harness this power to foster understanding, joy, and community among people of all abilities.

Our Values

Everyone deserves access to joy and creative expression.

Kindness & Understanding

Story That Started It All

With a deep passion for theatrical performance, I’ve been actively involved in stage productions, most recently portraying Director Chris in the hilarious play The Play That Goes Wrong. I’m also an avid Broadway musical enthusiast, continually inspired by the power of live storytelling. Beyond the performing arts, I’m a committed policy debater. Every summer, I attend a 7-week institute at the University of Michigan to prepare for the upcoming debate season, and I travel across the country to compete in selective national debate circuits. This experience has not only sharpened my critical thinking and communication and stage presence skills, but also opened my eyes to the realities of social, economic, and physical ability discrimination — especially how the needs of people with disabilities are too often overlooked or ignored.

I started LaughAbility, a non-profit organization built on the belief that storytelling, laughter, and human connection are essential — and that everyone deserves access to joy, regardless of ability, background, or circumstance.
